A re-design of the UN’s North Lawn
UNNLEASH
UNNLEASH (United Nations North Lawn Environmental Agriculture & Sustainability Headquarters) is an architectural design proposal to replace “UN-KEA”—a nickname for the temporary building that the UN built while the General Assembly and Secretariat office buildings were being restored—once the UN headquarters have completed renovations. Rather than restoring the North Lawn to its former state, demonstrating an aversion to change, my UNNLEASH project would provide a community education center and gardens highlighting sustainable agricultural practices around the world. This piece includes both a scale model and architectural drawings of my design.
