Artist statement: "This series is inspired by quirks in everyday life that often go unnoticed. Under the camera's gaze, a decorative flag plays with a basic, but often overlooked, mystery of physical existence: As we go about our lives, the Earth is rotating so fast--1,040 miles per hour--that we can't even feel it!"
