Learn about how to get involved with Confluence, as well as other Gallatin publications, at the Gallatin Word Fest book fair, April 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Gallatin lobby. As part of an all-day, student-run symposium, the inaugural Gallatin Word Fest includes a wide range of literary events. From the organizers:
A day-long exploration of contemporary poetry and fiction: poetry readings, a book fair, zine-making, a lecture on publishing and workshops by writers, film screenings, and an open mic for students. It will take place on April 16th, 2014 at the Gallatin Building and is open to all NYU students. The final reading at 7:00 p.m. in the Jerry Labowitz Theatre for Performing Arts is open to the public and will include readings by Jenny Zhang, Bianca Stone, Benjamin Hale, and Darin Strauss with reception to follow in the Gallatin lobby.
