“Do The Cog Twist!” is the first track off my album As American As Apple Lye. The song reckons with the disillusionment of the American worker using tongue-in-cheek, stream-of-consciousness lyrics, a pop music sensibility, and agonized vocal pleas. The fast paced transitions between recognizable musical genres both satirizes the gluttonous taste for nostalgia in the age of hyper-consumption, and caters to the hyperspeed brains of those raised in the digital age.
