A multimedia collage layering digital artwork, vintage tv ads, and film clips explores my creative process and critiques the representation of women in the mid-twentieth century, all to Astrud Gilberto’s iconic bossa nova beat.
Bim Bom, in Other Words
“Bim Bom, in Other Words” places together various pieces of film found through vintage television ads and movie scenes layered over my own digital artwork. It focuses on my process while also critiquing society’s view of women in the mid-twentieth century. Using Astrud Gilberto’s 1966 classic, I blend my own manic art process with the iconic bossa nova beat in “Bim Bom.”
