A “Beyond Syntax” Playlist from a Less-Than-Playful Year

The purpose of this class has always been to look, individually and collectively, for a place “Beyond Syntax.” But this year, our class has necessarily been doing what everyone else has been doing. They have been searching for a place “Beyond 2020.” In our case, a place of sound and meaning. Luckily and somewhat magically, this group of crazy engaged and talented students has found a kind of collective backyard of shared sound with which they can imagine this difficult year and something of the beyond that we are all yearning for.  This is quite something to listen to…
