Bare Waves

Bare Waves

I.

Head out.
Eyes up.
We’ll sail this ocean blue.
We’ll sail it till it laughs with gold.
We’ll sail it, hearts upon the horizon,
Sunshine streaming down our faces.

II.

I’ve got an oar.
And you’ve got hands
Strong enough to steady
The rocking of this ship.
And we’re off to sail this ocean to gold,
The shore swept from our memory.

III.

The sun.
