Skeletal forms in black and white. Ink on paper.
Gloomy

"This series of pen and ink line drawings explores skeletal forms and macabre subjects that are formed and transmuted through the interaction of black ink and white space and the patterns and designs that evolve. The creation of these illustrations becomes a sort of meditative process that allows me to move into a world that exists separately from my reality."—Lauren Peinado. This series was exhibited in the 2013 Gallatin Arts Festival, and one image was printed in the Gallatin Review, volume 28, 2013.
