As a coffee-loving city that drinks seven times more coffee than any other, New York City is at the epicenter of a disposable coffee cup eco-dilemma.

Student designers included Kevin Barrow, Honor Bishop, Akiera Charles, Ayaka Habu, Sophie Maes, Gui Marcos, Natalia Martinez Trujillo, Stephanie Pan, Annie Pluimer, Kyle Richard, Arielle Ross, Jacob Soley, Taiki Sugita, Aleksei Waddington, and Jessica Weiner.

“Waste_World” orbited the Gallatin Galleries as part of the annual NYCxDESIGN festival in Spring 2017 and again, in conjunction with The Gallatin Climate Change Initiative, in Fall 2017. The interactive installation was Project of the Day in Next Top Architects. Instagram: @Waste_World
