White T: Alignment in Balance

White T: Alignment in Balance

Person stands against a white background modeling a white asymmetrical shirt with one sleeve over the left shoulder and making a diagonal band across the models torso, ending in an upside-down-sleeve that extends out from just above the model’s right hip. The model stands with right arm bent, hand moving into the open, upside-down sleeve, as though into a pocket.
Model bends to the left, bent right hand tapping the opening of the upside-down sleeve.
Model turns slightly to the left to show the opening of the upside-down, right sleeve, framed by a bent right arm, hand on hip.
Model crouches down on one knee, arms crossed and obscuring the front of the garment. The open, upside down sleeve, points straight out to the right, like a short, lifted tail.

The goal my T-shirt, while simple and plain, is to express the human body’s relationship with the world. While we are small in the world on an individual level, the inner balance and “zen” we all seek in life, through body and mind, is a larger similarity in human nature than all else. The white T-shirt represents this balance perfectly: Although my T-shirt is universally plain and simple at first glance, it is my purposeful acrobatic pose, the perfect alignment and curvature, and ultimately every detail, whether intentional or not, which makes us unique in our own skin.
