“A few months before I created this piece, I started doodling curved lines that intersected and departed from one another at different points. As I turned them into a larger and more three-dimensional work, I began to see an inextricable link between the lines and natural landscapes, the topography of the earth, and ocean currents, and more broadly, life, movement, time, and change.

In order to live responsibly and humanely during a time of anthropogenic climate change, ‘In(tra)woven’ responds to the need to look to life as a diverse assemblage of inter- and intra-related entanglements, connections, branches, and networks.”—Elaine Lo
