Select projects from the Albert Gallatin Scholars and the Dean’s Honor Society
2017 Scholars Group Showcase
Each year, student members of Gallatin’s Albert Gallatin Scholars, Americas Scholars, and Dean’s Honor Society participate in a travel colloquium where they explore a theme related to their destinations. During January Term 2017, AGS explored “Archaeology, Preservation, and National Identity” in Athens, Cyprus, and London. During Spring Break 2017, the Americas Scholars explored “Urban Democracy” in Colombia and Brazil, and DHS explored “Crossroads of History” in France. The Americas Scholars students produced a group “teach-back” event in lieu of submitting individual projects. This collection showcases AGS and DHS students’ artistic and scholarly responses to their experiences.
